Easter Thoughts

A time of new life and hope.

Its holy week, my Easter cactus is in bloom and Easter Sunday is almost upon us.  Easter is a very special time for me, as a Christian it's a time of great celebration, salvation came as Jesus rose from the dead and as a part of that celebration it feels very fitting that it is one of the most beautiful times of the year. If there was ever a time to go out and marvel at creation Easter would be that time.

Over this lenten and Easter period there has been a strong focus on the environment and I am all for it. For example, the BBC continued their Blue Planet series and Netflix brought out its triumphant Our Planet.  Although both may be difficult watching at points it reminds us how linked our lives and actions are to the world, its animals and oceans. We can't say we love animanls and the planet if we are not willing to make any changes. The emphasis of environmental impacts on mainstream challanges is also exciting as it reaches a whole new platform of people who were previously unaware of the alarming extent of damage occuring.

Although christianity and the environment mix shockingly little I believe they are deeply entwined.  Its important to remind ourselves that the world is God's design and what he made was good. We are stewards and a steward nurtures, cares and puts effort into protecting the land which they have been gifted.

Happy Easter and God bless,
Tasha xx
